Rolfing is a manual therapy modality that unwinds areas of unnecessary tightness in your body so that your joints can move toward their ideal positions so that your body can move correctly.  Whether it’s a chronically aching shoulder or an ankle that stopped feeling right fifteen years ago, Rolfing can help by loosening up the imbalances and compensations in your connective and muscular tissues with targeted, hands-on techniques.  This is not a relaxation massage.  This is a process of making profound structural and functional changes in your body in a way that can relieve pain quickly.

Rolfing with Matt Hsu can bring you tangible relief and noticeable changes in your first session.  With further manual work and postural exercises, other parts of your body can then be re-aligned to support healthier posture and keep pain away.

Rolfing gets its name from its creator, biochemist Ida Rolf, Ph.D. She developed her work by studying osteopathic manipulative medicine, yoga, and the effects of her efforts to help her family and friends with their injuries.  Today, 60 years after Dr. Rolf first started her therapeutic modality, there are over 1,550 Rolfers around the world.

Rolfing is typically experienced in a series of sessions of approximately an hour in length that focus on eliminating the dysfunctions in the body that lead to symptoms like pain, anxiety, and fatigue.
